A common cause of sluggishness and lethargy is a build up of toxins in our body that lead to excess weight and difficulty in taking if off.  We often forget or overlook that, like pharmaceutical or other drugs, what food we ingest will have an impact on how we feel and look.  Excess sugar, bad fats, processed foods and eating more than our bodies actually need for optimal function all affect the way we feel and look.  Depression, anxiety, high or low blood pressure can all be heightened or reduced by the foods we eat.

Join Marisa, our resident Nutrition Counsellor (and yoga instructor and avid yoga practitioner)  as she takes us on the principals of a detox diet and cleanse that will have you feeling lighter and more vibrant in body and mind. Post detox dietary guidelines will also be provided in order to enable you to continue your goal of healthy eating patterns.

As humans who deal repeatedly with the physical, emotional and energetic challenges of our daily lives, these challenges manifest physically through aches, pains, dysfunction, illness and disease.  Whether it be an aching back, neck, knee, shoulder, headache, among others, they are often caused by imbalances in other parts of our bodies and can be easily alleviated through minor corrections in posture, muscle, fascia, breathing and viscera.

 

Tara, Breathe Yoga & Wellness Centre FacultyIn this workshop, we will learn what healthy pelvic posture is and its impact on our whole organism mechanically, physiologically and emotionally.  We will briefly introduce the anatomy of the pelvis, learn what pelvic mobility is, understand pelvic floor dysfunctions and learn what muscles are important to achieve pelvic stability and health.  This workshop will have a practical component where we will learn how to move the pelvis and what muscle activation is needed to properly stabilize it.

 

Join our resident Osteopathic Manual Practitioner Tanya and our Registered Physiotherapist Tara as they lead you through this fun, very informative and interactive workshop !  Comfy clothes are a must!

Hundreds of clinical studies on the benefits of acupuncture show that it successfully treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems (back pain, neck pain, and others) to nausea, migraine headache, anxietydepression, insomnia, and infertility. Learn how alleviation of these problems through acupuncture can lead to a feeling of overall lightness (from the reduction of the heaviness we feel from pain and obstructions in our body) and wellness. Jonathan will review the science of Acupuncture, case studies of those it has helped and how regular acupuncture treatment can get you on the road to feeling better.
