An Experiential Workshop to drop into the wisdom of the body through yoga, meditation, and guided journaling.
This workshop is held on Zoom and a post-live recording will be available.
The body can be a tremendous source of insight, support, and personal healing. At the same time, it can be difficult to become truly comfortable in our own skin when much in our culture sets up a “mythical norm” of what of body is “right” or “accepted” which serves to alienate us from ourselves.
In this highly experiential workshop, we will use tools from body positivity movements, accessible yoga/movement, meditation, and journaling to welcome and care for our bodies in their magnificent messiness and imperfection. The intention of this workshop is to be a healing, grounding experience of coming home to self.
All bodies and beings are welcomed, encouraged, and celebrated.
“Mythical Norm” comes from Audre Lourde: Age, Race, Class and Sex: Women Redefining Difference.
