Aging With Strength

Aging is a fact of life – not to be feared and impossible to avoid.

How we age is within our control.  Maintaining mobility through the years is the key to a vibrant existence and ‘use it or lose it’ should be our mantra.

By age 40 we begin to lose bone mass and it’s a sliding scale unless we take appropriate measures.

First and foremost is weight bearing exercise to offset the loss of muscle mass.  Building strength and mobility will create:

  • A healthy spine that is strong and supple
  • Strong core to support everyday activities
  • Strong legs and ankles to improve balance
  • Strong body will reduce risk of falling
  • Healthy foot arches, supple and mobile toes
  • Hip joints that are mobile and strong to aid in weight bearing and movement
  • Upper body strength to reduce shoulder rounding (kyphosis)
  • Hand and wrist strength

These things are vital for feeling your best at any age.  Whether  it’s to play with your children/grandchildren, continue to enjoy your sport or just to be vibrant, this workshop will motivate and energize you with a new view to aging.
