Mindfulness Meditation:



Mindfulness meditation practices are simple, yet effective ways to increase our self-awareness, cultivate greater calm, balance and enhance our ability to live more fully in the present moment.

Come and join us as we explore a range of formal and informal mindfulness practices and discover the benefits for yourself.  The course is well suited for beginners who want to learn more or for those who have a meditation practice and want to dive a bit deeper.

Elements to be covered:

  • Orientation mindfulness meditation – history, evolution and benefits
  • Introduction to 4 foundational mediation practices
  • The role of mindfulness in managing stress and learning to respond skillfully to challenging situations
  • Cultivating self compassion and loving kindness

Taught by Trish Sullivan
.  Trish has practised yoga and meditation for over 15 years. She is a certified yoga instructor and has recently done a deep dive into the study and facilitation of mindfulness at The University of Mass Medical School (founded by Jon Kabat Zinn) and The Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. Trish’s passion for teaching comes from the application of mindfulness in her own life. She loves to share her learning and to be in community with other seekers.
