Yoga Advancement & Mentorship Program

 

A Unique Yoga Enrichment and Introductory Teacher Training
January - June 2008

 

Cultivate a highly personalized, stronger and intelligent yoga practice through studying under the close guidance of senior Breathe teachers through this uniquely designed yoga advancement program.

Through Breathe Yoga Studio’s exclusive mentorship program, students wishing to elevate their personal yoga practice or are considering a full teacher certification program will participate in a series of themed monthly workshops and yoga classes designed to enhance their practice and knowledge of yoga theory.

 

Spread over the course of 6 months from January to June, 2008 students will attend one 4 hour weekend workshop per month, followed by personal practice classes and guidance by your teacher, totaling 110 hours of workshops and practice.

For Aspiring Students

Students who wish to advance their practice will have the unique opportunity to have personal one on one mentoring with their teachers while expanding their understanding and knowledge of yoga practice and theory. 

For Aspiring Teachers

For students whose objective is to become certified yoga teachers, the 110 hours of this program can be logged and students will be presented with a Breathe Yoga Certificate of Completion of 110 hours of yoga training.

Students will :

  • Develop a stronger personal practice under the guidance of a senior teacher
  • Develop a foundation in yoga theory
  • Be well prepared to enter a full certification program and have the ability to log an extra 110 hours onto a 250 hour training program

 


Four Hour Workshop Schedule

All Workshops will take place from 1-5pm at our satellite studio 2118A Bloor St W suite 204 (3 blocks east of our main studio)

Laurie Campbell Laurie began her study of Ashtanga yoga in 1999. Before long Laurie had established a strong daily practice under the gifted guidance of Ron Reid. Throughout the years Laurie has continued to dedicate herself to the practice of learning. She has completed numerous workshops and teacher-training programs including; The Downward Dog Teacher Training, the Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty Teacher Training Intensive and a Teacher Training Intensive with Richard Freeman. Laurie has also lead a number of Yoga Workshops and Seminars for students at all llevels at Breathe Yoga Studio and other studios across Toronto and the country.  Laurie continues to travel and self-study to expand her knowledge of the many styles and aspects of yoga. 




Personal Practice

Students will be encouraged to focus and study on elements presented in the monthly workshop throughout the course of the month in their personal practice.  Students logging their hours will be required to attend at least one Mysore class and one Primary Series class per week. Personal guidance will be given by senior teachers during Mysore classes. 

Price

The cost of the 6 workshops is $420+ gst, plus an optional $100 registration fee for those wishing to log their hours.  This fee will be credited towards the Breathe 2008 Teacher Training Program for students enrolling in the program.  Regular drop-in fees apply for classes and Mysore. 

Individual workshops are $80 each.

Coming from out of town?

Breathe is conveniently located minutes away from the Gardiner Expressway and the Lakeshore, Highways 427 and 401.

The program schedule has been designed to accommodate students coming from out of town and individual needs may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.


WORKSHOP SERIES $420+ gst. 

CAN'T DO THE FULL SERIES? 

Each workshop is designed independently and students need not have attended previous or all workshops to benefit fully from each workshop.

Registration for each workshop is accepted until the day of the workshop unless noted that it is full.

INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS ARE $80+gst each.
