Yoga Retreat In Italy

A Yoga Retreat in Puglia, Italy
April 14 – 21, 2018

For Ashtanga & Vinyasa Practitioners with Svitlana and Christine.

Breathe is headed to the stunning country side of Southern Italy to La Rosa dei Venti (formerly the Santa Maria del Sole Retreat Centre) in Puglia, Italy, for a glorious week of yoga.  Puglia, known for its sprawling landscape dotted with trullis (traditional stone houses with conical roofs) and ancient beautiful towns,   its also a major agriculture and wine making region of Italy.  Today its known as a foodie’s paradise.

” Puglia can surely now take its place in the first rank of Italy‘s famous regions. Clearly, everything the Italophile craves is there in abundance: ancient towns heavy with the tangible past; extravagant churches dreamt up by Europe‘s finest architects; the footprints of an endless procession of conquerors and cultures, stamped in stone, gold and marble; seas of olives; olive-green seas; and food the equal of any in Italy.” (Lonely Planet – read more )

Selecting this luxury destination for the third time, our staff has rated it the best retreat centre we’ve visited. It’s been featured in many international publications as one of the world’s best retreat centres, including in the book “Great Yoga Retreats” by renowned publisher Taschen.

“Best. Holiday. Ever.”

The Retreat

You’ll have the choice of starting each day with either an early morning Mysore class with Svitlana, or a mid morning Led Vinyasa class with Christine. Throughout the week we will also gather for yoga workshops and meditation sessions to enable all to delve deeper into practice.  Students of all levels of yoga are welcome.

In between classes we will dine on authentic regional and organic meals prepared by the professional in-house chef. You’ll also have time to tour the Itrian Valley and its architecture on bicycles, head to the Adriatic coast, or explore the nearby ancient villages and churches.

“It was my first time at a retreat and I couldn’t imagine a better place! My favourite parts included daily yoga, living in the trulli houses, eating freshly made cheese every morning, and touring the old little towns of this beautiful region. I hope to visit again!” Anna

La Rosa Dei Venti Retreat Centre  is a beautifully restored 17th century monastery and farmhouse situated in Italy’s southern foot, run by a mother and her two sons, and lovely local staff. It is situated on a hillside between two coasts,  Trulli houses, old stone fences, flower meadows and a forest.  See below for photos of the stunning property and a typical Trull0 that you’ll be housed in for the week.

Delicious food, an inspiring location and most of all, a thoughtful, attentive yoga teacher!
