Yoga Classes TorontoWelcome to Breathe Yoga Studio, an award winning studio that has offered the city of Toronto yoga classes for the last 7 years. We have built our reputation as a premier yoga studio as a result of assembling a faculty of some of Toronto’s top instructors as well as a roster of yoga classes that are suitable for absolute beginners to advanced students. We continually strive to provide students with the best possible yoga experience and are honored to have built an outstanding studio community of students, many of whom have practiced with us regularly since we opened our doors. For the Beginner At Breathe, we all recall the moments when we first started our Toronto yoga classes and we are continually listening to the feedback we receive from our students. As such we have developed a specialized program for beginners. If you are just beginning a yoga practice, we highly recommend that you consider enrolling in our Yoga Basics Workshop, a 5 week course that covers the basics of Yoga in a progressive and methodical way. A very popular course for beginners looking for yoga classes in Toronto, you will be joined by other Absolute Beginners who want to develop a yoga practice with a strong foundation. We recommend supplementing the Yoga Basics Workshop with at least 1 or 2 drop-in Beginner yoga classes per week. If your schedule does not allow you to commit to the 5 week course, we recommend that you begin your practice by coming to 1 to 3 drop-in Beginner classes per week. Styles of Yoga classes – Which Are Most Suitable for You? We recommend trying different styles of yoga to determine which is most suitable for you. Ashtanga and Hatha Flow yoga are fluid classes that build inner heat through a series of strength and flexibility building poses that are connected through the breath. These yoga classes are dynamic in nature and help to detox the body through the heat that is naturally created throughout the course of the yoga class. These classes differ from a Hot Yoga or Moksha style of yoga in that heat is developed naturally through the inner body as opposed to entering an artificially highly heated room. Iyengar-style yoga emphasizes alignment and develops flexibility, strength, balance and endurance. It emphasizes the use of blocks, chairs, and other props; and the therapeutic value of adapting the poses to the needs of individual students. This is a slower class and is suitable for students looking to refine their yoga alignment, those who are recovering from injuries and those looking for a slower paced class.
